About
Bansko ski resort

The ancient town of Bansko is situated at the foothills of majestic Pirin, one of the most beautiful Bulgarian mountains and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The resort has a predominantly Alpine character with three peaks towering above 2900m. The slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers, from the novice to the expert. Due to Bansko being a new resort, it has a very modern and efficient infrastructure. It’s one of Bulgaria’s most rapidly growing property markets because of its tourist popularity in both the winter & summer season. The infrastructure is extremely modern, which has made it so attractive for foreign & private housing investment.

A regular bus-shuttle service interlinks the town, the mountain hotels and the main ski centres. All the lifts are controlled by a modern computer system connected directly with the main company- the Austrian Ski-Data. The region is famous for its great cuisine and colourful folklore and offers various entertainment opportunities, so it really is hard to understand why so many people are considering buying a property in Bansko. Skiing & snowboarding

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The skiing conditions in Bansko are excellent, with slopes offering various degrees of difficulty for all types of snowboarders & skiers and will suit both beginners and experts.

It is significant to emphasize that there are hardly any queues for ski lifts, which is a delight in comparison to skiing in the rest of Europe. The lack of people crowding around major lifts, is reminiscent of skiing in American and Canadian resorts.

This has been made possible by highly efficient modern lifts and the Ski Data chip-card ski passes, which you never have to take out of your pocket, a convenience still rare in other resorts, cutting the queues to a minimum. This is just one of many reasons why to book Bulgaria ski holidays and to have a winter break in Bansko.

Beginners: The fine selection of gentle nursery slopes, the excellent snow conditions of Bansko and of course, the English speaking ski instructors make learning fun. The Bansko resort has enough green and blue runs for beginners to become confident with their control and posture. 1-1 tuition is available and is ridiculously cheap. Nearly half the price that you would expect to pay in France. Skiing in Bulgaria is a massive cost saving. Contact the Bulgaria winter holidays experts about ski school and private lessons.

Intermediate:
There is a great choice of blue and red runs in Bansko, making it ideal for intermediate skiing. You may try the easier runs at the top of the mountain or you may try the more tricky runs under the chair lifts. Bansko is the ideal resort to improve your skiing and snowboarding ability. With fewer people on the slopes and fast-modern lifts, you’ll appreciate more time on the well groomed slopes.

Advanced:
More advanced skiers will especially enjoy Bansko’s glorious off-piste skiing. Tour guides are available and at the fraction of the cost in comparison to other European resorts. Snowboarders especially love the off piste action, finding great locations to practice airs and other acrobatic maneuvers. (If you wish to take it off-piste, please make sure that your insurance policy covers off-piste skiing). Do not be surprised to meet the Bulgarian National Ski Team in Bansko, because some of the runs keep even this team busy. Send your winter holiday enquiry to the Bulgaria ski professionals. We dedicate ourselves to skiing in Bulgaria, so why travel with anybody else. We offer competitive prices, cheap lift pass deals, great flight prices and lovely western hotels. Après Ski & Bansko nightlife

You don’t have to be a skier to enjoy Bansko. Après ski can be the most enjoyable part of a skiing holiday, but the most expensive. In Bulgaria you get the best of both worlds. There are also over one hundred mehanas (local taverns), offering finger-licking traditional cuisine. Discover this jewel and you will not only be getting the best skiing of your life but you will have tradition and authenticity at your doorstep. Being a new skiing destination for foreigners, prices in Bansko are still lower than the world famous ski resorts of Borovets and Pamporovo. Discos and night clubs work without time limit, and usually close early in the morning. Bansko’s most popular hangout for party goers is the Amnesia disco club, which features popular music in a relaxed atmosphere. Whatever you choose to do at the end of a day’s skiing, please check with your holiday representative, who will be able to give you best advice. Overall, we would say that Bansko provides lots of traditional atmosphere and very lively après-Ski.
