TESTIMONIAL
Please read this wonderful
poem of the ladies adventure....with 'Vamos Travel'
Excitement for thrill-seekers off in a plane
Home again, back to the Manchester rain
What happened between is a story to tell
Of a chorus of women (and their men as well).
Chattering, chattering, ladies ahoy,
Everyone here? There’s Ali – Oh joy!
Queue for the tickets – where is my pass?
‘Who packed it for you?’ each person’s asked.
It’s raining, it’s raining, where’s Sky Europe’s plane?
We’ll walk half a mile which, for some, is a pain.
We’re on now. A safety talk – are you all listening?
Taxi’ing, quieter with some foreheads glistening.
‘Boots’ bags and gilets, plus scarves and our cases
A plane full of Crystal Chords all in their places.
The pressure, the speed, the excitement of take-off
Here come the drinks now – the price is the rake-off
The bright clouds, the droning of engine’s up yonder
The girls are still nattering – no time to ponder
The stag party’s quiet now – our journey’s just started
It could get more noisy – get ready to party!
What will we see there? What’s the place like?
Is the town near us – will we need a bike?
The heat in the cabin; an hour on your watch;
The gins and the tonics; the Cokes and the scotch!
More laughter – what’s funny? We’re three rows in front
Of obvious joking – who’s pulled a stunt?
With everyone’s happiness here on this flight,
We’ll probably sing in the bar late tonight!
Which café to go to – some are a sight?
We’re off into town for our dinner tonight
We’ll go where it’s homely to taste local fayre;
Decision’s a good one – we’re glad we went there!
Back to the hotel to sing in the bar
The sound is just great – we’re well above par!
Tomorrow’s the first show – we should be in bed
But we’ll just sing another song feeling half dead!
Came the next day and we’re out on a tour
A little red bus for us – who could want more?
The street art, the buildings, the cafes and bars
It’s so clean, and totally devoid of cars.
We’re here in the church with sights wondrous to see
We’re singing, it’s ringing – we’re keeping in key!
With Angela, Madeline heading the throng
We’re singing on top notch – we just can’t go wrong!
The chorus, the quartets, the small chorus too
Have done us all proud – with Blue Danube to boot.
We finished successful, tomorrow’s the Main Square.
Will it be better – what will we find there?
Bratislava has opened her arms
With foreign tongues, friendship and old fashioned charm
We wouldn’t have missed this, of that there’s no doubt
So, for the last time, let’s all give a shout
Of
DOH-VE-DEN-YAH to all of our friends
A memory to treasure – we’ve come to the end!
