The Imperial cities tour offers you a whirlwind visit to three of
Europe’s most beautiful cities: Vienna, Prague and Budapest.
It is a fantastic way to see such an incredible amount of beauty,
culture and history in a short and yet realistic time scale. Our
guides and hotels are of the highest standard making this trip a
holiday to treasure for a long time to come.

Day 1:
Fly to Vienna
Transfer to Hotel
Day / Night at Leisure

Day 2:
08.00 – meet the group and depart from Vienna State Opera House
for the day’s journey by coach to Prague, travelling via Haugsdorf
(border crossing), Znaim/Znorjmo and Iglau/Jihlava to the motorway.
Following an early afternoon arrival in Prague there will be time
for lunch before the sightseeing begins. Discover the old town
centre: Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square and
other major sights. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Carlton or
similar.

Day 3:
In the morning visit the castle district, including St.Vitus
Cathedral, Hradcany (Prague Castle) and the famous Golden Lane.
Enjoy lunch in a typical Czech restaurant, before spending the
afternoon and evening at leisure, exploring the many treasures of
the stunning “Golden City”. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 4:
Full day, traveling from Prague to Budapest through constantly
changing landscapes, passing the towns of Brno, Drasenhofen,
Zistersdorf, Hainburg and Nickelsdorf. A stop will be made en route
for lunch (not included). Dinner and overnight at the NH Hotel
Budapest or similar.

Day 5:
Morning sightseeing tour of Budapest, the mighty metropolis on
the banks of the Danube, including Hero’s Square with the Millennium
Monument, Gellert Hill and Castle District. Visit Mathews Church and
the Fisherman’s Bastion, from where you have a wonderful view of the
Danube and the City. Lunch at the hotel, before enjoying the
afternoon at leisure. In the evening there will be the possibility
to book a traditional folklore dinner with music. Overnight at your
hotel.

Day 6:
Drive from Budapest via Szekesfehervar to Lake Balaton, the
largest steppe lake in Europe and one of the most popular resort
areas in Hungary. Visit the peninsula of Tihany, where there will be
a chance to have a lunch. In the afternoon the journey continues
along the lake, via the spa resort of Sarvar and the historical town
of Sopron to the Austro-Hungarian border, then through the province
of Burgenland, to Vienna. The tour returns to the State Opera House
at approx. 06.00 pm.

Full free day for personal explorations of the beautiful city of
Vienna
