Glaciers, Geysers and Waterfalls is wonderful Iceland tour
programme that gives a first time visitor to Iceland a magical
introduction to this utterly unique and mesmerizing country.

Day 1: Arrival
Transfer to hotel for check in Welcome pack on arrival detailing
holiday itinerary.

DAY 2: South Shore
Depart Reykjavík to Hveragerđi, a horticultural centre. From
there drive across fertile farmlands and across glacial rivers to
Skógar. After spectacular scenery you will carry onto Dyrhólaey, a
wonderful nature reserve. Continue to Kirkjubćjarklaustur, the
former site of a 12th-century Catholic convent for your first
overnight stay.

DAY 3: Skaftafell National Park – Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon
Drive from Kirkjubćjarklaustur to Skaftafell National Park, one
of Iceland’s most outstanding areas of natural beauty, dominated by
Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest ice cap. Continue to the Jökulsárlón
Glacial Lagoon where huge icebergs, float and grind together in the
still, deep waters of the lagoon.

DAY 4: Landmannalaugar or Ţórsmörk valley
The tour follows the Fjallabaksleiđ interior track to
Landmannalaugar, a magnificent area surrounded by colourful rhyolite
mountains with the option of bathing in a natural warm pool; an
unforgettable experience. Then from Landmannalaugar to Ţjórsárdalur
valley, overlooked by the celebrated volcano Hekla. Please note: If
the road to Landmannalaugar is closed due to road conditions
(spring/early summer) the tour goes through lava fields and outwash
sands formed by floods from the glacial volcano Katla on to the
village Vík, passing two beautiful waterfalls, to Ţórsmörk valley.

DAY 5: Gullfoss – Ţingvellir – Reykjavík
Depart for the Geysir area to see the famous great Geysir and
Strokkur, a hot spring that spouts every few minutes. On to Gullfoss,
one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls. The next stop is
Ţingvellir National Park, where the ancient parliament met for
centuries on the shores of Iceland’s largest lake.

DAY 6: Depart
Final day of your Iceland holiday – morning free sightseeing /
last minute shopping Transfer to airport Flight home.
