Borovets is on the northern slopes of the Rila Mountain, 72 km away from Sofia and just 126 km away from Plovdiv. It’s a fantastic Alpine resort providing amazing opportunities for the whole range of winter sports, including: ski-jumps, snow mobiling, cross-country, skiing, and snowboarding.

Borovets has hosted the World Cup skiing championships twice and its biathlon track is recognised to be of the best in the world. There are ski runs for all abilities, whether a beginner, intermediate or expert. The slopes and runs are maintained in perfect condition and are designated with international markings and multilingual signs. PERFECT for pushing the groom down the slopes in a Batman cape & mask.

For beginners this resort is a godsend. There are over 200 ski instructors working in Borovets and most of them speak English. This and some very good nursery slopes make Borovets an inexpensive and excellent place to learn how to ski. For the absolute beginner or the unsteady second-timer, the special ‘Learn to Ski’ pack is available all season for skiers and snowboarders.

Borovets is also perfect for intermediates & expert stag ski parties. The well-planned lift system includes the 3-mile, six-person Yastrebets gondola, which opens up a wealth of enjoyable runs, ranging from wide sunny boulevards in the Moussala basin, to scenic looping trails through the trees. Borovets is the ideal winter ski resort to improve your skiing and snowboarding ability. With fewer people on the slopes and fast-modern lifts, you’ll appreciate more time on the well groomed slopes.

We dedicate ourselves to stag skiing holidays in Bulgaria, but that doesn’t mean its not right for snowboarding. There is 23 miles of piste split into three areas with open pistes and some fun lines through the trees. For those who want to leave the ground there are plenty of natural hits & rollers and of course the man made Rotata half-pipe. Bulgaria is the hottest, or should we say the ‘coolest’ snowboard destination for ski stag weekends.

Day 1:

Arrival in Borovets. Meet and greet at the airport with your friendly Vamos guides and transfer to hotels (either in city Centre or on outskirts). You will then have the chance to visit some of Borovets’ best bars and clubs in the evening, with VIP entry to one of the resorts best clubs ensuring a great night.

Day 2:

Second day begins at around midday to allow time for recovery. This is your first day on the slopes, we cater for all levels of skiing ability and all your equipment will be provided. For lunch Borovets has a range of restaurants to cater for your needs, and dinner is provided at the hotel. In the evening you will have the chance to explore some of Borovets’ best’ nightlife spots, all of which are much cheaper than what you would expect in France and Austria! 

Day 3:

More of the same! Great quality skiing and après ski!

The final day of your Borovets ski stag weekend. And goodbye from your Vamos travel managers!

    Q: Will the accommodation be of the requested standard?
    A: We take great pride in our strong relationships with our accommodation partners and in their facilities. Our travel mangers or our long term local representatives will have always inspected & evaluated the accommodation your are staying in. Before making a booking with Vamos Travel, your account manager will have communicated the standard and room type.

    Q: Will the hotel be in a safe & well located area?
    A: Yes. This is one of our main priorities; the hotel will always be in a safe & tourist friendly area. Your enjoyment and safety is our main concern. 

    Q: What types of accommodation do you offer?
    A: Vamos travel offers a huge range of accommodation options to suit every budget and travel life style.

  • Age

    Q: Is there a minimum or maximum age?
    A: A minimum age to travel with Vamos Travel is 18 years unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is no maximum age but obtaining personal travel insurance is a condition of travelling with us. 

  • Booking process & payment

    Q: Explain the booking procedure?
    A: When you are satisfied with your holiday itinerary/package offer, we will re-confirm the availability. We will require a deposit per person to secure the booking. The remaining balance must be completed 8 weeks before departure. If you book within the 8 weeks prior to departure date, then the full balance must be paid. 

    Q: Can I secure a holiday by paying a deposit
    A: Yes. Read previous question. 

    Q: How can I pay?
    A: We accept all major credit/debit cards. On-line bank transfers are also accepted. Download our booking form to read further information. 

    Q: Can we pay individually?
    A: For groups larger than 6 people, we expect the group organiser to gather in the money from the relevant party members and make payment for the deposit/full balance. We understand the difficulties of this procedure, so your individual account manager will correspond with the accounts department, to make sure you have enough time & flexibility to get the money in on time.

    A: In line with our green eco-policies we do not produce what would be classed as a traditional paper brochure

  • Flights in general

    Q: Can we book plane tickets through your travel company?
    A: Yes. We are a fully bonded ATOL member. ATOL Protection extends primarily to customers who book and pay in the United Kingdom. 

    Q: Can we book our own flights and then book with your travel company?
    A: Yes. It is common for our customers to book their own flights especially with low cost carriers. We will simply help with the rest. 

  • Holiday information packs

    Q: When can I expect to receive my holiday information pack [example: tickets, hotel vouchers, tour information]?
    A: We send your holiday information packs 10-14 days before departure. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your 1-1 expert travel manager.

    Q: What if I have a problem abroad?
    A: For most holiday bookings, we will provide you with an emergency contact name/number, who will be able to help during difficult situations. This is not available for activity, transfer, flight ‘only’ bookings.

  • Insurance

    Q: Should I take out insurance before travelling?
    A: Yes. It is extremely important that all travelers booked must have travel insurance, whilst travelling with us. Its part of our booking conditions, as we want your safety to come first.

  • Protection & financial security

    Q: What protection can you offer us? How can I check, you’re actually a legally running UK company?
    A: Your holiday time is important, so we know there is lot at stake here!  Rest assured, we are a very real & trust worthy company. and not an internet cowboy. We are: Vamos Travel Ltd – our UK address is: Pure Offices, 54, Plato Close, Leamington Spa, CV34 6WE – England. We abide to UK laws and regulations. Make an appointment and visit us! A UK limited company has to be registered with www.companieshouse.gov.uk A legitimate travel firm should be able to provide you a companies house number. Don’t be afraid to ask for this straight away. Our company No. 4378409. Also, legitimate companies will be registered with the ‘Civil Aviation authority’ a government run scheme. Each company registered – has an ATOL number. This number can be checked on the website www.atol.org.uk – Vamos Travel Ltd – has the ATOL number 5927 

    Q: Which is better ATOL or ABTA?
    A: Both are industry recognized, and both enable you the consumer to do your research into a company’s background. Always book a holiday with a company that legitimately and directly holds one of these licenses. Remember some agents might claim they are ATOL or ABTA, simply by placing a logo on their documents! This is largely a scam, and one we keep seeing on pop up websites! Always ask for the companies official number, and check it on the UK government website – www.atol.org.uk 

    Q: Tell me more about the different forms of protection against insolvency?
    A: This is a slightly more complicated question, and it doesn’t help when one company claims that ABTA is better than ATOL (& visa versa). What ‘you’ the consumer must understand is that the organiser of a package holiday must, at all times, be able to show sufficient evidence of security for pre-payments and for repatriation in the event of insolvency. There are 4 methods currently recognized within the industry: Trust accounts, ATOL, ABTA & specialist insurances. 

    Q: How else do we know our booking will be secure, when we are abroad?
    A: Vamos Travel ltd is not only ATOL protected but we pay our suppliers & local staff before you travel. This means all your services are paid in full before you arrive in the country! Also, our company holds no bank loans or takes credit! So unlike the big travel companies [with their fancy TV adverts] going bankrupt, and giving the industry a bad name – we deliver on our payment promises! You are in safe hands.

    Q: Do customers leave feedback or reviews of your holidays?
    A: Yes, we take great pride in receiving them. Each holiday program has there own review tab, so new customers can hear the voices of our past & repeat clients. Please see the ‘review’ tab button on this page. On the home page of our website, you can also locate the general review centre button. But do note, that these reviews are not specifically related to the holiday you are currently reading/reviewing. Enjoy the reading, as there are many top tips & insider advice!

    Q: How do I leave feedback?
    A: Some holidays we ask our clients to complete a feedback form 

    Q: Can I send feedback directly to a general manager / company director?
    A: All feedback is received by our product managers, not your 1-1 travel consultants. The feedback forms are then used for our staff’s monthly evaluations. The most praised staff during that month receives various rewards.

  • Safety

    Q: Will your activity holidays be run by professional people?
    A: Our supplier partners follow strict safety procedures and work with qualified and experienced guides. Our adventure holidays are personally inspected by us so we can be very confident in the services we are offering our guests. Activities and accommodation are all tried and tested by our staff, before we share them with our loyal customer following. 

    Q: Will our accommodation be in a safe area?
    A: Yes. Our client’s health and safety is our total priority. We always inspect accommodation and the surrounding area.

    Q: Are you on facebook, YouTube, Google + and twitter
    A: Yes we are. Please LIKE US or follow US. We share many pictures and video’s and make a very conscious effort of not spamming your news feed. Our goal is to inspire your senses, and not to use your social contact to spam you.

  • Winter clothes, kit list & equipment

    Q: I’ve booked a ski & snowboard holiday with you. Do you provide all the clothing?
    A: No. Clothes, hats, googles, gloves, helmets, and warm layers are not provided. They can be possibly rented, upon written request.

    Q: I’ve booked a multi activity holiday, that involves sub-zero temperatures. What specialist clothing do you provide?
    A: We provide all the specialist arctic clothing for any activity / tour, you have booked with us. Often our clients can keep the clothing throughout their stay, so they rarely have to buy/bring their own clothing. Please fully discuss this with your travel manager, so they can clarifty what is 100% included during your stay.

    Q: What shall i bring for arctic regions and sub-zero conditions?
    A: As mentioned in the above answer, we’ll be providing any specialists clothing you need to particpitate in total comfort. From inner mitten’s and helmets to hermal jacket/trousers and gloves. Everything is taken care of. If you are prone to cold hands or poor circulation, we recommend you purchase ‘hand warmer packs’. These can be squeezed and held inside your gloves, which act as a tempoary heater throughout the activity.

    Q: I suffer with poor blood circulation and my hands tend to get cold. Can i still enjoy the activity tours?
    A: Firstly, we must understand the degree of your problem, but ‘yes’ its very possible. With the correct clothing and preparation – and choosing the correct tour duration, our guests will be warm and happy. It’s important to discuss this in detial with our travel managers, and they will design the correct winter adventure holiday for you.

    Q: What if I need special facilities during my stay?
    A: If you have any special requirements make them known to our staff before booking [during your enquiry stage please].
