Aurora Adventure

The Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular and beautiful of nature's phenomena.

In classic mythology, Aurora was the Roman goddess of the dawn; while "boreal" is a Latin word, meaning "north." The southern hemisphere's equivalent of the Northern Lights is the Aurora Australis.

Day 1 - Arrival

Overnight stay in Reykjavík.

Day 2 - Northern Lights magic

Head to Reykjavík domestic airport in the morning, for your flight to Höfn, a small village on the South East coast of Iceland. When you have unpacked your things, there will be an introduction of the program ahead and of the optional activities available. Take a scenic walk through the village or down to the harbour, where you might watch the fishermen land their catch of the day. In the evening, the search is on for the magical Northern Lights.

Day 3 - Glacier experience

Today you visit the Glacier Exhibition where you can learn about the secrets of Vatnajökull glacier. We recommend a tour to the magnificent Glacial Lagoon where you might catch the sight of seals as well as the floating icebergs in the lake.

In the evening another guided walking tour to hunt for the Northern Lights. If the Northern Lights will not show during the tour but will appear in the night, the night watch is ready to wake you up for this amazing experience.
