Exit festival transfers | Getting to Novi Sad

Private coach transfers & mini bus transportation to Exit festival from Budapest, Belgrade, Balaton, Zagreb & other international airports are all possible.....don't worry! You'll be able to reach this fantastic 4 day musical affair.

About Trains from Budapest, Hungry:

The most common question we receive is.....would you recommend taking a train from Budapest or Balaton. In our opinion.....if you get first carriage tickets, its not too bad! But even then, you might find UK revellers cramming into your own pre-paid space.

Overall, this is your holiday, so I would avoid the cattle trains and relax in comfort straight to the Exit festival by taking a private taxi, bus or car rental. After 4 days of hard partying, you’ll praise your good sense, to have boycotted the public buses and trains and to have organized your Exit festival transfers.

Why risk the extra hassle of getting to the Exit festival, when there is a direct service being offered. We know, as we speak from experience.

Car Rental:

It's easy from Budapest and Belgrade. Why no hire a car....its not as expensive as you think. Obviously petrol is alot cheaper in comparison to the UK. Also, remember.....EXIT Festival is a night time festival. So if you have a car, you can explore the daytimes.....drive to Belgrade the capital or enjoy the Serbian countryside.

What do the artists think about EXIT FEST?

“Serbia, we had no idea what to expect and it was an amazing show, the crowd was fantastic and we can't wait to come back.”
(Scissor Sisters)

“An absolutely amazing festival both in terms of the crowds that came and the people behind the scenes. The setting was amazing with the sun coming up and the sound system was intense (as opposed to in tents which would normally be the case at a festival but I digress), I was so happy that I could finally be a part of this and would like to thank everyone that came along.”
(Dave Clarke)

"Exit was in a extraordinary setting with so much diversity in one place…. the enthusiasm and energy with which we were greeted, was a humbling and emotional experience"
(Karl / Underworld )

“Exit Festival was great, amazing night, played from 3am till 6.30 when the sun came up and to see so many people in a moat was something else."
(Carl Cox)

What does the Press say about The State of EXIT?

The Observer: Voted Exit – best music festival: Click to read the full article

Exit, founded in 2000 as a student protest against President Milosevic, has a stronger rationale than most when it comes to the partying-with-a-conscience element. Last year, when Fatboy Slim headlined, with back-up from the White Stripes and Carl Cox, 150,000 revellers took in everything from extreme sports to extremely avant garde cinema. Beer is cheap (as are tickets), the backdrop - the medieval fortress of Novi Sad - is unique and the climate cheerfully Mediterranean. As Annie Mac of Radio 1 put it: 'The setting is spectacular, the line-up massive and the people completely inspiring. It's a truly special festival.'

Mixmag:

“Any clubber worth their dancing shoes should make getting into Exit top of their 2007 OTo Do¹ list. Getting asked to play here was the dogs Balkans.” (Nick Stevenson)

NME:
….the Exit Festival, commandeering a breathtaking fortress high up on a hill overlooking the River Danube for four hot sticky days, with beer going for 65p a pint….the crowds continue to dance on through the wee small hours until the sun rises over the balustrades and the people of Serbia stagger off back out into their evolving country with smiles on their faces as priceless as the beer.
(Leonie Cooper)

BBC:

Festival-goers will party until sunrise at the fortress on the River Danube in an ancient fortress on the banks of the river Danube…More than 150,000 people from all over Europe will converge on Novi Sad's Petrovaradin fortress to spend four days, starting from 6 July, enjoying some of the biggest acts from the world of rock, pop and electronic music…..(Neil Arun)

Dance Front door:
With Glastonbury not happening this year, Serbia's Exit Festival looks set to take it's crown and show that the Balkans are where it's at. Due to take place on the 6th – 9th July, Exit has always attracted the finest international talent and is a festival experience that is hard to beat. The event takes place in the historic Petrovaradin Fortress, built high on the banks of the River Danube, offering stunning views over the city of Novi Sad. The Fortress site houses 18 performance arenas including the Main Stage and Dance Stage. There's an extreme sports arena, a technology zone, an NGO zone, an open air Cinema, and hot air ballooning.

Radio 1:
"wow - exit - what a festival! great energy, great understanding of the music and a great place. very impressed." (Giles Peterson)
