| The best bars, pubs, nightclubs and hotspots in Warsaw |
In this section, you’ll find a comprehensive list of all the best
night establishments to drink ‘n’ dance. We have reviewed a wide
cross section of venues, for all types of citybreak party goers to
enjoy in Poland. This amazing place really does have something to
suit all tastes, from chic-yuppie bars, down to earth pubs, cheap
Warsaw stag do’s clubs, hi-rolling casinos and cutting edge clubs.
The Ground Zero Club is a really cool venue, which used to be an
air-raid shelter during the war and since it opened back in 1993,
has been the most popular dance venue for awhile. The sound system
is absolutely booming and if you’re a lover of hardcore dance
events, then this will be a very good place to come. If you want
cheesy music and songs to sing along too, then don’t go to Ground
Zero. It’s certainly not the place for a stags. On a similar tip, we
recommend Nova lokomotywa another rave venue of whistles and white
gloves, which plays music across the board on Fridays and Saturdays
only. Not the classiest of clubs by any means, but the atmosphere is
fun and dedicated to underground music, a mix of drum n bass, big
beat, techno and trance. It’s not a meat market, so don’t go for a
hen night or you’ll be disappointed.

Dekada is a popular late night
theme bar-restaurant-disco, which has based its interior on an
American Dinner. The music is a range of school disco, live bands
and jazz. It’s a place you would hate to be sober in and love if you
were drunk. The atmosphere is friendly and great for stag nights in
Warsaw. For those that love to salsa, try Wednesdays, its Latin
night. For a similar happy tone vibe, then check out the basement of
the EMPiK Megastore on Nowy Swiat. The club is cleverly called EMPiK
Club and Thursday nights have a reputation of throwing a great party
night. Very welcoming to party people and Poland stag & hen nights,
larging it up for their last nights of freedom. Stodola is a big
club with 3 dancefloors playing various genres of music. It’s one of
the best places to come to catch famous artists playing live.
International music heroes De La Soul and Mobb Deep have played at
this venue. The Cultural Centre offers everything from movies to pop
concerts, cabaret shows to children's events. Some of the biggest
stars perform here. The schedule changes often, so always check for
its listings before basing your evening around this venue. Some past
favourites have been Gangstar (Guru & Dj Premier), Kelis and Poetree.
You can see some very famous artists here at much cheaper prices
than in England, so it’s of no surprise that some of our short break
clients have planned a weekend around this venues musical calendar.
Warsaw breaks are not just about architecture and culture, there
also about an explosive nightlife and meeting friendly people.
A popular club on the famous Krakowskie Przedmiescie, is Harenda.
It’s a popular place to come if you like to dance to RnB, hiphop and
traditional African music. The atmosphere is always friendly and
this club is a solid bet for a good nights dancing. If your musical
preference is towards nu-urban beats like hiphop and RnB then try
Tygmont on Fridays or Harlem which is further out. Both are solid
options on selected nights, but we’d suggest to check the listings
before you go. Sports tours and lad holiday parties should
pre-arrange a guest list for these nightclubs. If you enjoy
alternative music, then check out the Underground Music Cafe one of
the best places to hear non-commercial dance music and rub shoulders
with friendly faces. Music policy ranges from house, funk to RnB and
breaks.

Wednesday and Saturday are probably the best nights to come
on, where they play soul, rap and RnB. Many of our clients have
checked this club out during their stay and loved it. Again, we
recommend to partys of men on big weekends pissups and stagnights,
to make a guest list to avoid the strict door policy. There are a
quite a few lap dancing clubs in Warsaw, but two of the best are
Lach and Coffi. Lach is one of the classiest strip clubs, full of
beautiful scantily dressed girls, private booths and offers a
friendly atmosphere. It’s an exclusive place, so for large stag
parties of men we normally make group reservations to guarantee
tables. The other major lap dancing club is Coffi and is equally
popular amongst the Warsaw stag do’s, expats, tourists and Polish
locals. Both of these lap dancing clubs get busy very quickly, so
advancing bookings for stagweekends is always advisable to avoid
disappointment.
A lot of local socialites head to Cinnamon in the new
Metropolitan Building opposite the National Opera House. Fridays and
Saturdays are normally buzzing, full of half dressed models and
trendy mullet David Beckham’s. The music is a bit commercial and
unadventurous but the party normal rocks on anyway. Chimera is a
restaurant-bar-club and is an intimate place serving reasonably
priced drinks and plays good music. One of the unique aspects of
this bar is its décor, with many unusual paintings and sculptures by
local artists, which can be bought. For Warsaw breaks socialites
it’s a great place to start the evening and meet some friendly
people. Probably a little too intimate for stag weekends, so for big
sports tours and football teams we’d look elsewhere. A similar
place, where local artists and photographers exhibit there work is
Miedzy Nami and is normally busy with a fashionable young crowd. The
décor is minimalist but attractive and so is its beautiful
clientele. Many of our clients have visited Miedzy Nami and enjoyed
this relaxed & sociable bar.

Le Madame has an eclectic atmosphere, plays funky music and is
open till about 3am on the weekends. In the New Town, try searching
out Polyester Cafe which has a mixed crowd of students and short
break foreigners, enjoying well priced drinks to nice background
music. Modulor Bar is a small open plan venue, with an industrial
décor interior and is a cool place to check out. One great aspect of
Modulor is its fantastic English breakfasts, and has become quite
popular amongst the Warsaw stag parties as the place to come, to get
over the morning blues. Nobo club has a very good reputation, for
excellent DJs, great cocktails and has a funky atmosphere. It’s also
worth checking out, Zanzi Bar a chic modern place on two levels that
has been elegantly laid out and designed. Happy hours aren’t really
needed in Poland as the drink prices are considerably cheaper than
the UK. Another reason to have a bargain city break to Warsaw. Muza
is also worth mentioning if you like Latin, disco, funk and soul
music. All three of these bar - clubs are cool places to hangout,
drink and get stuck into the nightlife.
A cool club behind National Theatre in the centre of town is
called Paprotka. It’s a large club, that has tried to bring back the
‘old days of clubbing’ feel to it, trying to create a more of a
house party vibe, where the punters are fun and approachable rather
than pretentious. The interior is furnished in pop-art style and not
over-stylized and the dancefloor is quite large. The club Djs play
across the spectrum throughout the week, hosts different themed
nights and even fancy dress once a month. The best night is probably
on Thursdays, when the DJ blends hiphop, RnB and reggae. Warsaw Stag
party’s should make a club guest list. Talk to Vamos Travel about
making this possible. Jezioro Labedzie might be slightly hard to
find as it doesn’t have a marked entrance, but once inside you’ll
find this venue to be a mix between restaurant, café, club and a
bar. There’s a large bar, live music and usually a friendly crowd, a
solid social Poland weekend breaks winner. Looking for a 24-7 around
the clock inexpensive drinking hole? Then head to Patrick's. There’s
a wide selection of bottled beer, quality Guinness, live music and
good food. This fun Irish pub is definitely worth remembering for
those intent on making the stagdo session go on throughout the
night. Lemon, also fires on all pistons for 24hrs a day, the venue
is cool and so is the clientele.

Pub Tropikalny Palmiarnia is a cool place, set in a giant
greenhouse. The décor is like nowhere else, full of palm trees and
tropical plants and they serve reasonably priced cocktails and cheap
beer. There’s a dancefloor and for those that get the midnight
munchies, there’s usually a BBQ on the go. Pub Staromiejski located
on the Royal Castle Square has a nice summer garden, great place to
take 5 minutes out from all the sightseeing attractions you’re
trying to pack in. Quite simply, it’s the perfect place to sit
outside and admire the view, whilst drinking Polish beer. The
Riverside Bars (West bank of the Wisla) is a collection of bars,
around 20 in total and is a cracking place to watch the sunset,
enjoy a cold beer and meet some friendly faces. Excellent for a
summer stag weekends and sports club rugby holidays to Poland.
No.19 a large bar, with a fun atmosphere and is popular amongst
tourists, expats and trendy locals. Chairs and tables are moved on
the weekends to make room for a bigger dancefloor, when the Djs play
a mix of house, R&B and other funky grooves. If trendy-chic
clubs-bars are your thing, then look for Szpilka or Sheesha, they
normally play a nice mix of music and draw a good mix of people. The
best gay Bars are Utopia, Kokon and Paradise, which is one of the
most established gay bars. Out of the three Utopia has the
reputation of having the strictest face-control but on the positive
side they tend to draw all the big European DJs to play there.

In short we suggest these other venues: Amnesia a bar-club, Tango
& Cash, Szlafrok another respected bar-club, Lucid attracts top name
Djs and is a popular dance club, Jazz Cafe Helikon cool jazz bar,
Extravaganza has cool décor and club design, Elegancki Bolek has
cheap beer and is open very late, Luzztro is worth checking out for
good underground electronica music, Hades is for Hard rock fans and
hen parties looking for drinks promotions & a student atmosphere,
Apsters to be served by a former polish Big Brother participant,
Kotly located in an old heating chamber, Iguana smart chilled out
bar and Klubo kawiarnia, consistently throws good Polish partys,
invites good Djs and draws in a cool crowd.
One of the most established venues in Warsaw’s Club land is
Piekarnia Club, which is located in a former bakery, on the
outskirts of Warsaw's city centre and has 3 different rooms.
Piekarnia which in the past has been voted ‘best club’, plays across
the spectrum of dance music, hosting some of the best locals DJs and
international DJ stars. Face control can be tight, so dress smart
not silly. Punkt is a great place to dance to alternative music and
to catch many quality DJs from the UK. In the past many artists from
Ninja Tune have graced this venue, like Skapel and Amon Tobin and
other great British producers have cut up records here like Rob Life
and Poetree. The dress code is urban funky, so trainers, baggy jeans
and hats are allowed. If large discothèques, cheap beer, reveling
students and commercial music is your thing, then Park might just be
what you’re looking for. It’s a polish-ritzy club, full of young
people but it does tend to get a bit rough. Definitely a meat market
but not like the men dens you’ll find in Britain. Stag weekends in
Poland should consider this place. Proxima is another big student
hangout that has live music and DJs, serving very cheap beer but is
far from the city centre. Hybrydy is a dance club popular amongst
mainly students and young professionals. The DJ takes requests and
normal plays pop and dance anthems.

An oasis of African culture is Tam Tam. The decor has an
authentic African feel and during the evenings this is a good place
to come for food and a dance. Organza is a split level bar,
sophisticated and has a very trendy crowd. The resident Djs spin
quality; urban hits, old Skool and funky house beats on the lower
basement floor and always guarantee a quality clubbing night out.
There is a strict door policy, so we recommend to our Poland city
break guests to dress smart, but once inside the atmosphere is
friendly and isn’t pretentious. Like trendy bars in London, stag
party’s and big groups of men aren’t tolerated, so if you want to
get in, we suggest you hire a nightlife guide to negotiate the door
policies. Located on the 40th floor of the Marriott Hotel is
Panorama Club, which has one of the most stunning views of the
capital. The drink prices as you would imagine are quite pricey, but
its worth checking out even if it just for the awesome view. The
place is elegant and the cocktails are very good and it’s a great
place to relax, listen to live jazz and prepare for a big night out.
Panorama will leave a lasting impression, make it part of your
Poland breaks. Popular also amongst tourists and expats is a lively
club-bar called Paparazzi. Happy hour runs daily between 4 - 8pm.
