Vodka is a drink which originated in Eastern Europe. The name
stemming from the Russian word 'voda' meaning water or, as the Poles
would say 'woda.' Poland is probably best known for its vodka and
there are many of them. Distilled from grain or potatoes, Polish
vodka tends to have more taste and texture than those of the West.
Let Vamos Travel organise a vodka tasting session to coincide with
your stay in Poland. It’s a great idea for stag parties, hen
weekend, birthday big weekends and special occasions. Vamos Travel
recommends: Zubrowka, Krupnik, Wisniowka, tatanka, Goldwasser,
Belvedere, Columbus and Chopin.
Take advantage of doing something completely different in Poland
and try many of the high adrenaline activities on offer. What about
trying ‘hardcore shooting’? Try an afternoon at a shooting range,
firing off automatic weapons, shot guns and glocks. Outdoor
paintballing is another crazy stags adventure weekend activity to
try your hands at. These aren’t sports activities just for stag
weekends in Warsaw and Poland lad do’s, they’re definitely suitable
to anyone, who wants to experience something completely different on
their short break. Recommended group sizes, should be at least over
8 people, to make it cost effective, otherwise it can be quite
expensive. Many of our sports club touring teams love this –
especially the football and rugby teams.
In Warsaw, one can try the amazing indoor go-karting centre. For
speed freaks, there is no better activity, guaranteed to get the
heart racing. We recommend these driving activities for parties of
over 8 people to make it costs effective. Driving activities are
very popular amongst the Poland lads parties, but are as equally
popular with our city break clients.
Legia Warszawa is the premier side to watch, for some quality
football action. Book tickets in advance to coincide with your
Poland short break holidays. Tickets prices are reasonable and the
atmosphere is electric, you’ll have an amazing time and something
else to remember your stay. For mainly men and stags in Warsaw, who
can’t possibly miss a football match, then try these places for Sky
sports: Marriot, Sheraton, Intercontinental, Bar below, Morgan’s
pub.
Another bright idea for brilliant weekends in Poland is a day at
the races. Head to Sluzewiec Racetrack, enjoy some local beer and
place your bets. It’s guaranteed to get the big weekend to a
cracking start.
Want to know our insiders tips for the best views of the capital?
No.1 Take the Hotel Westin’s lift and see panoramic views of the
city. No.2 We love the surreal ness of the Palm tree in the middle
of Rondo de Gaulle'a. Find this Palm tree and take a picture with it
in the background, friends will definitely question if you were ever
in Warsaw. Even better tie the groom to it - a sure way to relax in
a Polish Police cell.
