Lithuanians like to eat nice, tasty and filling foods. The
tradition of eating well is inherited from the ancestors who would
say, ‘He who eats well, works well’. Lithuanian traditional
cuisine took shape over many centuries and was much influenced by
cultural contacts with neighbouring nations. There seems to be an
inexhaustible number of restaurants to choose from in Vilnius, with
cuisine available from all around the globe. However, be warned that
many Lithuanian restaurants tend to serve extra-large portions fit
for a small army. Most the best tables are located within the
compounds of Vilnius’ incredible ancient Old town. Use our top table
guide, reviews and recommendations to make your eating experience
during your city break in Vilnius much more pleasurable.
