museums to be found but two of exceptional
quality, are the Estonian History museum and the city museum (Linnamuuseum).
The history museum can be found in the Maarjamäe Palace, with
excellent exhibitions reflecting the Estonian working-class
revolutionary struggle, the courageous battles of the Soviet army
and friendship of the Soviet peoples. The Linnamuuseum gives city
break travellers a complete overivew and insight into the history of
the capital, with great displays & with English translations.

Tallinn Golf breaks are becoming more popular in the Baltic States.
Currently, there is only one 18-hole golf course in Estonia, located
at Niitvälja, 33km south-west of the old town, but it is perfect for
both social and professional play. The golf course was created in a
Florida style, with water hazards, wide fairways, and narrow parts
aligned with trees. The course is opened to our Estonia city breaks
guests from April to November. Enquiry to Vamos Travel about our
golfing holidays in the Baltic States and Eastern Europe.
For those looking for an active holidays break and want to get to
know nature and local culture, then we can suggest hiking. There are
4 national parks and several local nature reserves in Estonia where,
guided by signposts, you can walk along country paths and byways
observing at close hand, seeing things that hurrying tourists can
never take in from the coach window.

The Zoo has over 5000 animals from golden eagles, Polar bears to
Siberian Tigers. As well as species from warmer climates, like
crocodiles and chimpanzees frolicking in the Tropical House. There
is also a delightful petting zoo. It offers great family
entertainment and offers another great Tallinn city break excursion.
There is a huge Botanical Garden, which is perfect for a relaxing
holiday stroll and for recouping your energies. You can discover
virtually every type of plant, bush, flower and tree found in
Estonia, with well over 4000 different kind of plant species. It’s a
beautiful place to discover, we highly recommend going there.
Since Estonia reclaimed its independence, the shopping scene in
Tallinn has changed almost changed beyond recognition. The majority
of the best boutiques, shops and traditional stores are located in
the Old Town but there are many huge superstores dotted around the
city. For tourists looking for high quality souvenirs & crafts, then
try Katariina or St Catherine’s passage. Along this landmark street,
you can find the best open craft studios & shops selling traditional
Estonian goods. For those city break tourists that love to haggle,
try the large open market called Keskturg, which guarantees the most
experienced shopper a cultural experience worth remembering.

Take advantage of doing something completely unique in Estonia
and try a high adrenaline sporting activity like hardcore shooting.
Try an afternoon at a shooting range, firing off automatic weapons,
Kalashnikov’s and pump action shot guns. Clay pigeon shooting can be
organised and outdoor paintballing is another crazy stags adventure
weekend activity to try your hands at. These aren’t activities just
for stag weekends in Tallinn, they’re definitely suitable to anyone,
who wants to experience something completely different on their
short break in Estonia. Recommended group sizes, should be at least
over 6 people, to make it cost effective, otherwise it can be quite
expensive.
In Estonia, one can try 4x4 off roading, Quad biking, indoor and
outdoor go-karting. For speed freaks, you’ll love these activities,
guaranteed to get the heart racing. We recommend these driving
activities for parties of over 8 people to make it costs effective.
Driving activities are very popular amongst the stag parties that
come to Tallinn and sports club tours, but are as equally popular
with our corporate break clients.
Do you like chocolate? If the answer is yes! Then take a visit to
the Kalev Chocolate Factory, during your holiday in Estonia.
It makes over 200 different
products. Trams 3 & 4 will get you there cheaper than the taxis in
the old town.
