An interesting little diversion can be found on the
Petrogradskaya Embankment, where you’ll find the preserved Battle
cruiser ‘Aurora’ that is a memorial of the 1917 Revolution. The
cruiser, built in St Petersburg 1897-1900, took an active part in
the Russo-Japanese War and is an interesting museum, which can be
explored for free. Please note that it is closed on closed on
Monday, Tuesday and the last Wednesday of the month.

Petersburg is to hire a boat and meander along the many intricate
canal networks or by taking a popular boat cruise. River cruises are
one of the most relaxing ways to see a large city and to hear
fabulous stories about the charming curiosities & historical sites
along the river banks.

way to make the holiday even more unique.
If you have had it up to your eyeballs with culture, history, facts

folk group and a string quartette.

An inspiring phenomenon that can be experienced in St Petersburg
are the ‘White Nights’. The White Nights run from May to early July
and occur because of St Petersburg’s northern geographical position.
The dusk actually meets the dawn and it is so bright that in summer
they do not need street lighting at night. The exquisite midsummer
beauty of this ‘Venice of the North’ provides its own theatrical
background for a world-class programme of concerts, ballets and
operas. Leningrad Zoo is located in Alexander Park, founded in 1865 and
