Arcul de Triumf is as the name suggests a copy of the Arc
de Triumph in Paris. The original structure was actually made from
wood and was later reconstructed in concrete in 1935. The Arc was
created to commemorate those who died in Romania’s great war. It
stands proudly at a height of 25m and marks the start of the
majestic Soseaua Kiseleff boulevard. Visitors can actually walk up

deportation and one of the few survivors. She went on to win the
