La Mama, is a fabulous and extremely popular restaurant. It is a
Romanian restaurant that serves huge portions of speciality dishes
in a fun and friendly environment. It has an outdoor terrace, which
adds to the appeal in the warm summer months. We would recommend
putting this high on any ones list when travelling to Bucharest on a

Cina restaurant is a lovely restaurant. The chef specialises in
traditional Romanian dishes. There is a huge outdoor terrace, a
great wine list and the possibility to relax and listen to the live
music most nights. It is recommendable for those on a romantic break
and for larger parties wanting to celebrate a special occasion.

Acquarium is a well respected and rated Italian restaurant that
serves excellent pasta dishes. It is glass fronted on two sides and
has a light interior making for a relaxing atmosphere.
Bistro Atheneu is a relaxed Parisian syle bistro that serves a
wide variety of national cuisines in an eclectic setting. It is a
good choice for lunch while exploring Bucharest on your city break
holiday in Romania.
Casa Vernescu is an elegant French restaurant in a beautiful 19th
century building. Inside you are surrounded by fresco’s, marble
columns and guilded borders. As well as speciality dishes such as
lobster, beef and goose-liver in red wine sauce it also offers

Romanian kitchen. An ideal place for a special meal whilst on your

Silviu’s restaurant is a great place to try during your short
break. Here you can choose between one of two main salon dining
rooms or if you are a larger party you can book a private room. The
service and kitchen is first class but the prices are extremely
reasonable. Discerning travellers, Opera break lovers and even
upmarket Bucharest stag do’s could find the intimate service most
welcoming. The restaurant is located close to the Cotroceni Palace.
To experience a very traditional Romanian styled restaurant then
make your way to Burebista. Here you will find a taverna
environment; sheep skin chair covers and handicrafts & stuffed
animals adorning the walls. Each night the folk musicians in
traditional costume play and create a fun Romanian ambience for
travellers on holiday in Bucharest. You will also have opportunity
to try some splendid Romanian dishes such as tochitura de pui
(chicken and veg stew) or sarmale (cabbage stuffed with rice, meat

Restaurant Bradet is translated as “little fir tree”. It’d
decoration is wooden and quaint and it’s food wholesome and great
value. It is a fun and novel restaurant for city breakers in
Bucharest to try; but be warned it is small and can be smokey.

enjoy the warm environment and generous hospitality that the waiters
