Nightlife in Budapest
Essential night life guide for Budapest weekend breaks
|
|
Budapest has an exciting nightlife and has one of the best
reputations in Europe for evening fun. If this is an essential part
of your choosing of a weekend break destination, then you won’t go
far wrong in choosing this capital. Unlike some places, there are no
particular districts known just for bars and clubbing, all the best
haunts are found throughout the many districts. Stag weekends in
Budapest are popular due to the fact the choice of places
to drink & dance is quite staggering; you’ll find cellar jazz bars,
late night café-bars, modern dance clubs and the usual stag night
meat markets.

Club admission is very cheap and so is alcohol in
Hungary, which is always a welcoming surprise to our city break
revellers. Licensing hours are very liberal, most places are open
past dawn on the weekends and even the pubs don’t shut till 4am. So
whether you’re searching for that romantic cocktail bar, golden-mic
karaoke action or an appropriate place for that stag do & hen
weekend, Budapest delivers with abundance. Book with the Hungarian
holiday specialists. Stag weekends in Budapest are popular for more

Budapest Nightlife Guide: In this section, you’ll find a comprehensive list of all the best
venues in the capital. We have reviewed a wide cross section of top
night spots in Budapest, for all types of short break party animals
to enjoy in Hungary. This amazing city really does have something to
suit all tastes, from chic-trendy bars, earthy pubs, cheap stag
weekend type clubs, hi-class casinos and cutting edge nightclubs. If
you would like Vamos Travel to arrange a nightlife guide or want us
to book nightclub VIP guest passes, we will be happy to add this to
your Budapest city break itinerary. Please read on and enjoy our
‘Budapest by night’ reviews, recommendations and hot night spot
tips.

One of the coolest clubbing experiences to be had is
partying on a moving boat. A38 cruises down the Danube River, whilst
throwing some of the coolest dance parties in the city. On board the
ship, you’ll find a dance terrace, restaurant, lounge bar and disco,
where they book some of the trendiest DJs from around the globe.
Most notably, they had the likes of Japanese superstar ‘DJ Krush’
spinning the decks whilst on his world tour. For holiday makers that
are into dancing and non-commercial music, then this groove boat,
will not disappoint. All types of music are represented throughout
the week from, reggae & broken beat to house and hiphop. It’s
definitely a great place to dance and meet some of the friendly
locals. We highly recommend it to our Hungary short breaks clients,
small Budapest stag party’s and anybody who enjoys good soulful
music.

Stag do's in Budapest are popular. A hot spot to try out on your Budapest holiday is Café
Mediterranean, with its chilled out Spanish décor. The cocktails are
nice, the drink prices are reasonable and on Fridays they play some
excellent rnb music. It’s not the biggest of places, so all lads dos
do attract attention but the atmosphere is vibrant and is certainly
worth trying out. Club Seven attracts a mix crowd of friendly
locals, expats, men on sports tours and wandering tourists. The
décor inside is impressive and reflects the expensive drinks prices.
It’s a popular choice and always seems to be busy, whether standing
at the bar or dancing to the pop sounds, Club seven offers good all
round entertainment.
Stag parties in Budapest will enjoy the popular music-bar is Darshan Udvar, with its large wooden
tables and court yard space. This a good bar for large groups on
stag weekends in Budapest. It’s a loud & fun place, always busy
with those party mad Hungarians. Located in a new shopping centre is
Kameleon and has caused a good stir within the bar scene here. The
décor is plush, the cocktails are strong and the go go dancers on
the catwalk always cause a bit of a stir with stags. The music is a
mixture of chart hits and house, good for a knees up and having
unpretentious fun. Stags are welcome here and the people very
friendly. Oscar café runs with a cinematic theme and offers a great
pre-club atmosphere. The drinks are well prepared, the staff are
friendly and the clientele is a mix of cool Hungarian socialites and
trendy tourists. As American styled bars go, this is real winner and
has been recommended by many of our clients. A young, student, arty
crowd tend to frequent Szoda bar and we can understand why. This bar
has a really cool vibe, good music, great selection of beverages and
the staff are very helpful. It’s not really great for big stag do
groups in Budapest but the management doesn’t mind people on boys pissups. If
you’re searching for that late night bar atmosphere, look for the
Soda bottles that align its windows.

A popular Pest club-bar is ‘underground’, located unsurprisingly
below street level. Inside there is an industrial décor feel, the
bar is big and so is the thumping music. For a more ambient night,
try Sundays instead. Do you like deep house, break beat, hiphop or
drum n bass? If you do, then take note of Jail house club in
district IX of Budapest. There promotional team is one of the best
in Hungary and so are there resident DJs, who throw some of the best
parties in the capital. Whatever you want from your city break
nightlife, whether Budapest pissups, exotic clubs or banging sound
systems, this is definitely the city. One of the trendiest clubs
is Home, which draws all the big name DJs to come and spin the
turntables. It’s a large nightclub on the outskirts of town and is
filled with some of the most glamorous people in Hungary. The music
is chunky & funky, the people are relaxed and the club is absolutely
rocking. This definitely deserves a thumbs up for a top night out on
your Hungary holidays. The door policy can be strict for me groups
on those big weekends away, so we advise making a guest list, to
avoid the disappointment of being turned away. Bahnhof is a great
fun time club, with two major dancefloors, pumping out cheesy hits
and house music. It’s very rare for this place not to be busy on the
weekends, always packed out with beautiful young people and party
hard expats & stag dos. If you’re looking for a safe place for a
good drink and dance, then check this venue out.

Club Colosseum is an excellent late night clubbing option,
running till about 5am on Friday and Saturdays. The music policy is
generally tech-house, trance and goa, and is popular amongst ravers.
Club Fantasy is not a lap dancing club as the name might have you
believe. It’s an averaged sized club, that hosts live Djs and music,
which mainly draws in the local Hungarian students. Drinks are cheap
and the vibe is unpretentious. A big cellar drinking hole, offering
over a hundred different bottled beers and cocktails is Crazy café.
They also serve food here aswell, to supplement your liquid stag
weekend diet. Fat Mo's Music Club is typically like a lively,
English pub-bar. You can hear jazz, blues, rock and pop, and a Dj
that plays those sing along hen party anthems. It’s an extremely
popular place amongst the expats, so if you’re looking to do some
proper drinking, then head to Fat Mo’s. Kozgaz Pinceklub is a
student disco located in the heart of the city's economics
university. If you can pass yourselves off as toast eating students,
then you’ll enjoy the cheap beer, fresh friendly faces and maybe
some Karaoke action. This could be a great fun-time option for a
good old Budapestpissup. Another unpretentious place to venture to
is Süss Fel Nap, where the drinks are cheap flowing and the
atmosphere is relaxed & friendly.

The John Bull pub is a well run establishment, with an excellent
choice of beers and very pleasant staff. Fregatt, the first
English-style pub in Hungary, is also very nice and is open till 1am
most evenings. Both of these pubs are frequented by expats, and
locals and are a good starting point for a few warm up drinks. The
Old Man’s Music Pub, Morrison’s music pub and Janis Pub are
all good drinking holes. For something a bit different from the
usual pubs, then we suggest Kiserkel or Piaf, which attract a more
relaxed and sophisticated clientele. They both play really cool
music, serve quality drinks and Kiserkel bar even plays cult films.
Other major hot night clubbing spots in Budapest are Mokkacuka club
and Pacha, which is renowned for there legendary nights in Ibiza.
Mokkacuka club invites some of the best world Djs, famous guests
include the scratch champion ‘DJ Woody’ UK and Russian percussion
master DJ Vadim of Ninja Tune. Party’s of men should make
guest list reservations to get into their events. For the latest
house tunes, drop into E-Play and for Latin music, try Trocadero
Café. Budapest has over a dozen casinos, mostly located in the
luxury hotels along the Dunakorzo.

For Budapest Stag do's interested in a spot of 007 casino action

was open by the famous movie star, Sylvester Stallone and has since
