There are a number of nice cocktail bars in close proximity to each other. Paparazzi, People’s and Greenwich time café bar being three of the best. The cocktail menus are extensive and the service is very good and all three bars have been decorated with taste, making them an attractive choice to stop off for a drink. The Dubliner Irish Pub is always a good place to start. Always busy, it is a friendly place, hosting a balanced mixture of visitors, expats and Slovakian locals alike. It is also great in summer, since tables and chairs are put outside so you can enjoy watching the world go by. Charlie’s Pub is an American style bar and disco. It is quite a cheesy hen do place but there is a nice crowd and a variety of entertainment’s, from live bands to karaoke. It’s a good choice, to celebrate those last nights of freedom, definitely a stag do in Bratislava heaven. The Galeria DUNA is also based on the university campus and boasts an awesome atmosphere. Here you can see all sorts of live acts and is definitely an interesting place to experience. It welcomes big groups like sports tours without a guest list, which is a bonus. La Verna on the SNP Square by the Old Town Market, is a two leveled disco-bar which is fully air conditioned. The entrance is a bit obscure but once you’ve found your way in, it’s a fun place too let your hair down for your Slovakia short break night fun. Hlbocina club has two underground floors of varied electronica and is a good clubbing venue in the Old Town. Its open till about 6am on the weekends, so its a good option for the seasoned clubber and hen do’s.
