The original surfing
camp is here in Portugal. Suitable for complete beginners,
advanced surfers, couples, groups, solo travellers, must be aged
18+
The surf camp is located in a pristine valley in the middle
of a stunning Nature Reserve, where you find an oasis of
beautiful plants and wild life. This means that we are away
from the urban life, at night the skies are wet with stars,
we wake to silence and mellow in our own private seclusion.
Our Surf guides do all the hard work and preparation, whilst
you enjoy the waves, great company & food. After 7 nights,
you'll be grateful for the experience.
Surf
camp in Portugal - overview
The surf camp works the
same as the surfing safari. Every morning
we start with a
delicious breakfast with fresh coffee (no instant!), warm fresh
rolls, fruit, cereal, etc. Then we're off to the pristine
local beach. Un-crowded & unspoilt - a perfect introduction
to your surfing holiday in Portugal.
Surf
classes will be given to those who need surf lessons. Our
surf break locationst are suitable for all levels. So no
matter your experience, surf camp will adapt to your skill
level.
Surf
classes are always kept close to the beach in maximum
waist-deep water, just to make sure that you are safe and
that you feel safe. Experienced surfers paddle out to the
line up and surf reefs, point breaks or the many beach
breaks. Water temperature year round is
pretty consistent, above 16 degrees in the winter months.
Summer sees 18 to 21 degrees water temperature and surfing
in board shorts is common.

remote location, deep within the hills, and close to
deserted beaches

• Cabins are in the Valley, and our
apartments are on the top, 200 metre walk.

Lagos (often people grab a taxi to experience the nightlife)

• Surfing is
a dangerous sport. Vamos Travel / Green World holidays strongly recommend
to pre-book appropriate travel
insurance to protect others, yourself and your belongings.
• Your transport to/from Lisbon (LIS) or Faro (FAO)
is not included
• Faro Airport transfers, 95 kilometres
approximately 1 hr and 15 minutes.
• Arrivals/Dep between 10 am 8pm, £25GBP
each way, between 8pm and 10am £50 GBP.
• There are many regular trains from
Faro-Lagos (pickups are free from Lagos).
• Bring sunglasses, hat, swim outfits, shorts, sweat
t-shirts, beach towels, flash light, torch, music
• Water proof sunscreen spf 15+ or higher,
temperatures mostly vary between 20 and 35 degrees
• A sleeping bag, some clothes for night, a warm
sweater, jacket, jeans
• Some pocket money (extra snacks, alcohol, extra
excursions, fizzy drinks)
• You can bring your own music, our stereos also play
mp3/wma discs
• Flights are NOT included.
