Why do you think activity holidays are worth trying?

Activity holidays are unique and also the best way to spend your holidays. There’s nothing better than spending time in beautiful nature with nice and friendly people… and also nice and sometimes “crazy” guides. :) You are always trying out new stuff that you probably wouldn’t be doing it otherwise and in the end you leave with a big smile on your face and full of amazing memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.

What are your favourite adventure activities to enjoy in Tolmin? And Why?

It’s very hard to choose between land and water based activities. So the best solution is to try both. Here in Tolmin you must try hiking because in the surrounding area there is so many beautiful mountains, creeks, waterfalls that you just must see. And from water activities I would choose canyoning. It’s adrenalin rush from start to finish and you just feel so alive jumping and sliding down waterfalls.

What are your typical job roles? Any favourite parts?

Usually I work as a guide on most of the activities so I am meeting new people every day and that is something I enjoy very much. My favourite part of the job is seeing expressions on the faces of clients when they achieve something that they thought was impossible – sliding down 27m waterfall for example. It’s something that will stay with them for a long time and I had something to do with that and that is just nice to know.


Best memory during your time working in adventure holidays in Slovenia?

This job is the best thing that happened to me! I can’t choose just one thing because everything is just SIMPLY THE BEST! =)
 

3 words (only) to describe the Soca Valley & the Tolmin region?

Why spending 3 words on something that can be described just with PERFECT!!! =)


Slovenia is the only country to have the ‘Love’ in its name, but why do you love Slovenia?

I love Slovenia because it’s the only way you can feel about it… If you don’t believe me come and see it for yourselves.


The greatest debate of them all. What is the best Slovenian beer. Lasko or Union?

There is no debate on this subject – LASKO JE ZAKON… Ups sorry you didn’t understand that - LASKO RULES!


What do you like about Slovenian food? Any favourite dishes?

Slovenian food is great. Most of the food is organic and it’s not spicy. The food is a little bit different from place to place and there are some typical dishes in each region of Slovenia. So if you are a “food lover” just travel around our unique country and try them out. But my favourite dish is still the soup that my grandmother makes. :)
