Get to know
me.......
Why do you think activity
holidays are worth trying?
For me,
active holidays are way more interesting than “usually”
holidays. It is not just laying on the beach, sunbathing and
things like that, but you are actually active and you do
crazy things that are unique for special area and which you
usually don’t do every day, sounds interesting, doesn’t it?
What are your favourite
adventure activities to enjoy in Tolmin? And Why?
Here in
Tolmin, for me the most adventure activity is hydrospeed,
you are faced with the pure power of white water which you
can’t always control so the best way is to go with the flow.
It is also taken on very beautiful and unique part of the
river Soča where you can see amazing creatures made by
water, breathtaking rapids and also the color of the river
Soča in wonderful.
Landscape activities are worth trying too, especially
mountaineering. Soča valley is surrounded with so many
beautiful mountains which are easy accessible. It takes you
an hour or two and you can already enjoy in spectacular view
of the Soča river and also of the West Alps.
What are your typical job
roles? Any favourite parts?
I am
guide for almost all activities. My best part is being with
clients and making them happy, making the activity safe and
unforgettable for them. The best reward for me is that
clients leave us with smiles on their faces.
Best memory during your time
working in adventure holidays in Slovenia?
It’s not
easy to choose the best memory, but let’s mentions this one:
Once I’ve got one girl on canyoning and she was really
frightened about the height of the waterfalls. I was
convincing her that it’s almost 100% safe for so long that
she did it and then she was so excited that one month later
she come back and did it again.
3 words (only) to describe
the Soca Valley & the Tolmin region?
Worth
trying it ;)
Slovenia is the only country
to have the ‘Love’ in its name, but why do you love
Slovenia?
There
are so many unique places on so small area that you just
have to fall in love with Slovenia.
The greatest debate of them all. What
is the best Slovenian beer. Lasko or Union?
There is
no doubt, Laško is simply the best.
What do you
like about Slovenian food? Any favourite dishes?
Slovenian food is very healthy, it is almost 100% locally
sourced and fast food isn’t so promoted here, especially not
in Tolmin. You have to try jota, this is a kind of a stew
made out of sauerkraut and beans.
Any other remarks?
See you here, in Tolmin.
