a magical place to visit.
Þórsmörk is a beautiful nature reserve situated between three

its best. A leisure hike in the calm area of Þórsmörk with
breathtaking view to glaciers and rugged mountains on all sides
is a unique experience which rejuvenates your soul.

Iceland has
beautiful scenery in abundance and this tour has some of the
most breathtaking and most beautiful sceneries in Iceland.
Þjórsárdalur Valley, a place of stunningly colorful and diverse
landscape, is one of the country's most popular destinations,
holding many attractions en route such as the reconstructed Saga
farm Stöng. Mt. Hekla, Iceland's best known volcano, is clearly
visible in the Þjórsárdalur valley.
Landmannalaugar is a natural pearl, hidden in the highlands of
Iceland. There are hot and cold springs all around, amazing lava
fields and outstanding scenery. One of the best characteristics
of this area, are the Rhyolith Mountains, with their multi-colored
shapes and sizes.
Enjoy Iceland's tranquil silence and peace in these spectacular
surroundings. Note: some walking is required on this excursion.

The interior
route to Landmannalaugar crosses lava fields, small rivers,
black ash and scoria desert, and passes volcanic craters, which
make up an eerie lunar- type landscape.
Landmannalaugar is surrounded by colourful mountains due to
millennia of volcanic activity in the area.
Possibility to bathe in a warm brook, remember to bring along
swim-suit and towel (please note that use of soap is strictly
forbidden).
On the way back to Reykjavík the tour will drive along the roots
of the world famous and quite active volcano Mt. Hekla but the
latest eruption was in the year 2000.

We start by
driving in modified super trucks along the south shore, heading
for one of the places that Icelanders appreciate most, Þórsmörk
(The Woods of Thor).
It is situated in the south of Iceland between the glaciers
Tindfjallajökull, Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. Its
location lends to its particularly warm climate, which is better
than in the rest of south Iceland. Among en route stops are
Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall that you can actually walk behind,
and the glacial lagoon of Eyjafjallajökull. We will also cross a
number of small gullies and some rough glacial rivers on our way
into the valley.
Glaciers and mountains surround Þórsmörk on three sides, which
create favorable circumstances for growth for the over 170 plant
species you can find in the area.
