The Amazing Mayan Pyramid

Fancy yourself as an intrepid jungle explorer? Then our Mayan Pyramid Pool Complex is just the place for you.

The pyramid itself rises to a height of 20 metres and is bounded on three sides by 1 metre deep ‘splash’ pools, which are of course constantly heated to 30°C. In the pools there are water fountains, showers, a boletus (your own private ‘wave machine’) and the children can make friends with our gentle Water Hedgehog.

Ride The ‘Wild River Ride’

For the more adventurous or energetic you can climb to the first floor of the pyramid and slide smoothly into the water from the gently undulating Family Slide, or speed down from the Steep ‘Kamikaze’ Slides. If you’re up to it why not try the “Wild River Ride”, travelling from the very top of the pyramid on your own “raft” you descend through over 70 metres of white water type twists and turns to the warm safe waters of the splash pool below.

Dare You Experience ‘The Black Hole’?

Spiralling down from the top of the main building are our two water flume fun chutes. ‘The Twister’, a winding flume ride that sends you splashing into the thermal waters below and, if you want more excitement ‘The Black Hole’ – a daredevil ride through a long bendy flume, edged with laser lights, that spins you around in darkness before plunging you into the pool below. Both are just the thing to make the whole day go with a rush.

The Splash and Fun Pool

For the more energetic, the young (or young at heart) who want to splash away under the showers and fountains, or dare the waves of the boletus, then our outdoor Splash and Fun Pool is just what the doctor ordered (and if the doctor was smart they might also order the benefits of the mineral rich, heated water too. A real example of “Health & Fitness” in the one package!)

Be kind to your skin

One of the things that make AquaCity different is the fact that our pools are lined with stainless steel rather than the more conventional ceramic tiles. This, together with the fact that we use a sophisticated UV filtration system (the same as is used by many authorities for drinking water purification), means that we only use about one tenth of the chlorine you’d find elsewhere. All this means that our water is clearer, cleaner and you can bathe for longer with less irritation, and of course less damage to the environment, At AquaCity the quality, cleanliness and clarity of our water is all important to us, after all water is our business.
