Therapeutic
Thermal Bathing
Experience The Benefits Of Mineral Rich, Soothing Waters
From
the sacred springs of the ancients, through to the Roman baths
and Regency spas such as Bath in England and Baden-Baden in
Germany, man has always recognised the benefits of bathing in
natural, mineral rich waters. Today using hot spring mineral
water for therapy, perhaps the oldest use of natural geothermal
waters, is known as ‘Balneology’.

Natural
Waters; Nothing Added, Nothing Taken Away
AquaCity has been blessed by nature with access to a totally
natural subterranean aquifer where water has been gradually
absorbing soothing, curative, natural minerals over the last
five hundred thousand years.
The benefits of
Balneology include:
-
Increased
Hydrostatic pressure in the body
-
This results in
increased blood circulation and cell oxygenation
-
Stimulation of
the body's elimination systems; improving the body's
capacity to detoxify.
-
The body's
metabolism is stimulated resulting, for example, in improved
digestion.
-
The widely
accepted understanding that regular thermal bathing can
assist in the normalization of endocrine glands and assist
the automatic nervous system.
Ancient Therapy
Meets Modern Luxury
At
AquaCity we have provided a modern and luxurious thermal bathing
experience with a range of pools heated from 36° - 28° Celsius.
All of the water comes direct from our natural spring, pausing
only to have some of its heat energy diverted for use in our
three and four star hotels and to be purified by our UV cleaning
system.
This UV system (similar to those used by many municipal water
companies for the purification of drinking water) thoroughly
cleans and sterilises the water but retains all the healthy and
therapeutic minerals.
Fewer Chemicals Mean
Healthier
Bathing And A Healthier Planet
Our state of the art water treatments, coupled with the fact
that we line our pools with stainless steel rather than ceramic
tiles, mean that we need only add about one tenth of the
chlorine other Waterparks and swimming pools use. This means our
water is kinder to delicate skin, less irritating to eyes, ears
and noses and, of course, much, much kinder to the environment.
